The Middlesex Council was chartered on March 13, 1904 and is located across the street from St. James Church. The Grand Knight for 2012-2013 is Robert Paul. You can contact the Knights by phone at 732-634-9783, or by email at info@woodbridgekofc.org.

Knight of the Month March 2014: Bob "Flapjack" Banasiak, PGK

As many of you know Bob has been around the block a few times as it relates to the council, not only does he run the breakfasts, he also runs the council’s blood drives and more importantly is our acting Financial Secretary.

PALM SUNDAY BREAKFAST – APRIL 13, 2014  Once again Brother Bob Banasiak will be hosting his famous all-you-can-eat breakfast at our council. Come on down and treat yourself, friends and family by partaking in some breakfast staples like omelets, pancakes, eggs and bacon to name a few as well as support your council. If you have the time, please contact Bob if you would like to help with the breakfast.

GRAND KNIGHT GOLF OUTING – APRIL 21, 2014  This annual event will help raise money for The New Jersey Special Olympics. The price per golfer is $150.00 which includes green fees, golf card and a great food buffet at the Colonia Country Club as well as a dinner banquet after the event. There will be great raffles and prizes for this event so please come out and show your support. As always, Ed Lenart will be looking for volunteers to work the event as well anyone that may be able to donate to the event. Please feel free to reach out to Ed Lenart if you have any questions.

TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE – APRIL 25th, 26th, AND 27th  Come out and support handicap individuals by volunteering to work the Tootsie Roll Drive Event. There will be a signup sheet at the council for many time slots. Unfortunately, last year we had many empty time slots, please make a commitment and volunteer for at least one time slot and join me and fellow Brother Knights in this act of unity, fraternity and charity. Feel free to reach out to Gerry Stamato our Family Chairman with any questions on time slots or how to help.

Alan Minkler  Allen T. Minkler

Allen T. Minkler, 67, of Woodbridge, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 12th, 2014 at Overlook Hospital in Summit.

Born in New Brunswick, Allen was a resident of Woodbridge Township. He was employed as a business agent for Local 27 and then later as a mason with local 2 before retiring. Allen was a member of the Woodbridge Knights of Columbus Middlesex Council #857 and an active member of St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. He loved to play golf and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Allen was predeceased by his parents Martin and Aranka Minkler. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Maryann (Miele) Minkler, three loving daughters; Allison Farrell and her husband Thomas of Colonia, Dina Kovach of Woodbridge, Tara Romano and her husband Leonard of Scotch Plains, eight grandchildren; Ashley, Thomas, Jacqueline, Jimmy, Brandon, Carly, Dominick and Anthony, five siblings; Martin Minkler Jr. and his companion Ginny Burdziak of Woodbridge, Dennis Minkler and his wife Elaine of Pawley's Island, SC, Marie Fogarty and her husband Gerry of West Islip, NY, Lois Montgomery of Locust, NJ, and Kevin Minkler and his wife Lona of Camden, DE, seven nieces and two nephews.
